We understand how intimidating visiting a dentist for the first time can be for children. For this reason, we strive to have a welcoming and comfortable office for you and your children.

Prior to your children’s first visit, feel free to ask anyone on our staff any questions you have so they can answer them and help alleviate any concerns you have about coming to see the dentist.

Our entire staff is here for you and your children during their appointment. We strive to have a welcoming and comfortable office for you and your children.

We will do everything we can to ensure your children have a good visit. We are here to answer any questions or alleviate any concerns before your children even sees the dentist!

Why see a pediatric dentist?

Pediatric dentists are specialists in treating the unique needs of children. A pediatric dentist has completed two to three years of specialty training beyond dental school. He or she limits the practice to treating the oral health needs of children.

Choosing a pediatric practice to trust with the health and beauty of your child’s smile is an important decision. Making a positive first impression at the dentist can influence children’s view of dentistry for the rest of their lives, so it’s important to make sure your child is comfortable with the doctor and staff.

Ideally, your child’s dental experience will be something to remember for the rest of their life. Make sure it will give them something to smile about.

Special Training: Pediatric dentists receive postdoctoral training in child psychology, behavior modification, and pharmacology. Pediatric dentists also undergo yearly training and re-certification to stay current with the most recent developments in technology and patient care.

Education for Parent and Child: Pediatric dentists explain preventive care, hygiene, and treatments in simple, easy-to-understand terms.

A Comfortable Environment: It’s very important for your child to feel comfortable in our office. It is our goal to create a safe place with a fun atmosphere for your child to enjoy.

First Visit

Our practice is committed to providing you and your family with safe, gentle, high-quality dental care. We understand that you, or your child, may feel anxious about visiting the dentist. We are sensitive to your needs, and it is our goal to make you feel comfortable visiting our practice while providing the best care possible.

YOUR FIRST VISIT IS ALL ABOUT YOU – YOUR COMFORT, YOUR HAPPINESS, AND YOUR HEALTH.

During your first visit, we will review your dental and medical history forms, and take X-rays of your teeth and mouth. Then, the doctor will meet with you to discuss your X-rays, help you create your own individual treatment plan, and answer any questions that you may have. At your next visit, one of our hygienists will clean and polish your teeth, checking your teeth and gums for any cavities or early signs of tooth decay or gingivitis.

BRING YOUR SMILE, BUT ALSO REMEMBER TO BRING THESE WITH YOU TO YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT:

  • Your completed patient information form
  • Your insurance card

REGULAR CHECKUPS ARE AN IMPORTANT PART OF MAINTAINING A HEALTHY SMILE!

The American Dental Association recommends visiting your dentist every six months for regular checkups and routine teeth cleanings to keep your teeth and gums healthy.

We understand that you have a busy schedule, so when you’re preparing to visit the dentist, please remember that your appointments can last between 45 and 90 minutes.

Patient Forms

Please take a minute to print and fill out the patient information form before your first appointment:

  • New Patient Forms  PDF
  • New Patient Forms (Spanish) PDF

If you’re unable to open PDF files, you can get Adobe Reader® for free.

Financial Info

The cost of your treatment will vary depending on your childs individual needs and treatment plan. We will discuss the cost of your treatment and each of your available payment options. If you have dental insurance it is important that you communicate that with us so we may let you know if we are in your network. Currently, we are in network with Delta Dental and Delaware Medicaid. If we are not in network with your insurance, or you do not have dental insurance, payment is expected to be paid in full on the day of the appointment. We will be happy to submit your claims for you and do the paperwork. Your insurance company will then reimburse the member directly if applicable. Even if we are in your network with your insurance, you still may have copays and a yearly deductible. Please call your insurance company ahead of time so that you have a good understanding of your plan. If you have questions for us please call us as well. No dental insurance covers everything 100%, therefore, it is best if you understand your coverage and what your insurance is expected to pay. We will work with your insurance provider to help you understand your coverage and to maximize your benefits. Understand that while we will assist you in understanding your benefits, we have little influence over your coverage.

For your convenience, we accept Cash, Check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and CareCredit. CareCredit is a third party financing option. For more information visit: http://carecredit.com/apply
